Get the report: Investigation into Whitechapel sexual assault referral centre
Members of an independent investigation panel were asked to examine services provided by a specialist unit in Whitechapel, East London, that offered support and forensic examinations of victims of sexual abuse.
The investigator’s report, dated April 2013, was released to the Bureau under the Freedom of Information Act by Barts Health NHS Trust.
The report’s findings and recommendations have been accepted in full by the Trust, which ran the Haven until April 2013, and the commissioners of the Haven: NHS England and the Metropolitan Police Service.
Whitechapel Haven is now run by King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
