In Video: BTP Advisers exposed
Senior executives from PR firm BTP told undercover reporters from the Bureau that they could ‘neutralise’ Wikipedia for clients.
The revelations were made to journalists posing as representatives of the government of Uzbekistan seeking to promote the Uzbek cotton industry.
The meeting was recorded as part of the Bureau’s investigation into the PR industry and how leading British firms help despotic regimes with reputation management.
The lobbying firm BTP’s clients have included the governments of Rwanda, the Ivory Coast and Azerbaijan.
