Interactive map: NHS consortia board members’ links to private companies
View 1st wave of pathfinder GP consortia in a larger map
Under the Coalition government’s proposed NHS reforms, GPs will form independent groups – consortia – to commission services from private providers for their local area.
However, the Bureau of Investigative Journalism has discovered that some of the members on these consortia have links to the same private companies that will be competing for contracts.

Our interactive map shows the locations of all 52 first wave pathfinder consortia bodies in England. Some of them have decided which GPs will sit on their commissioning boards, others are in the process of choosing, and others are yet to elect any board members at all.
How to use our interactive map
Each pin marks the location of a consortium. Clicking on a pin will show the name of the consortium, a list of members sitting on the consortium’s commissioning board, and other information, such as the population of the area and the number of practices.
The blue pins mark consortia with no discernible conflicts of interest, whilst the red pins mark consortia with the potential for conflicts of interest. Where we’ve found potential conflicts of interest, they’re listed under the individual consortium entry.
