The Bureau has carried out the most comprehensive ever analysis of public sector pay. Below is a selection of the key figures at-a-glance.
1. 38,045 public servants earn more than than £100,000 a year
2. 1,000 earn over £200,000
3. 9,187 earn more than the Prime Minister
4. 10 GPs earn over £300,000 each year
5. One GP in Hillingdon Primary Care Trust earns £475,000
6. 17 teachers earn more than the PM
7. 331 BBC managers earn more than £100,000
8. 362 local council employees earn more than the PM
9. Eight police chiefs earn more than £200,000
10. 12 members of the armed forces earn more than the PM
